Scroll Down to Hear the GROW 2019 Talks

GROW is a day conference that brings women of all ages, stages and backgrounds together to thrive on God’s word.

Whether you are a long time believer or seeking God for the first time, you are warmly welcome to be part of GROW 2019.  Take the day out to listen to the Bible, respond in prayer and song, share stories, eat and rejoice in Jesus together.

GROW 2019 Saturday 17 August 9am-3:30pm

*New venue* Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane

What is a life well lived? Staying true to yourself? Finding your inner strength?

Facing death, Paul reminds Timothy that only one thing matters-staying true to Jesus. It is only in Jesus that our lives are secure forever.
But following Jesus involves risk, tension and challenge. We’ve all been in some way ashamed of Him. We can’t stay true by looking within ourselves.
Be strengthened by the grace we share in Christ Jesus at GROW 2019.

GROW stories

Growing up my Grandmother was my only Christian influence. When my son was born in 2006 my husband became a Christian and I wasn’t too pleased about this. Over the next few years I started to meet more and more Christians through my husband until I became friends with a Christian couple who were neighbours and who really wanted to read the Bible with me. I started to realise God was my loving Father. Naree, my neighbour, invited me to GROW 2010 and in that room, along with hundreds of other women singing ‘By Faith’, I thought ‘yes, I want to be a part of Gods family’, and I knew that God had chosen to love me in Jesus. I encourage everyone to come to GROW 2019 and bring friends! (Tanya, Glasshouse Mountains)

“We like sending women of all ages to GROW as it gives them an opportunity to enjoy fellowship in the Lord together whilst growing around God’s word.” (Heather Meadows, Grow Team Central Church Ipswich.)

NURSING MOTHERS & PRAM ACCESS

We welcome all mums with babes in arms at GROW.  An area is provided at the back of the auditorium for feeding, settling and pram parking. There are change facilities in the parents room near the toilets in the mezzanine foyer.  We suggest you bring a soft blanket for bub to roll on along with some quiet toys.

Sadly we are unable to provide care or facilities for toddlers on the day. We do understand that coordinating childcare is tricky. However, we suggest asking dads, family or friends to look after toddlers for the day of GROW. Many churches encourage dads to organise some play-dates, so as to bless mums with some uninterrupted time in the Word.

Grow Purpose Statement

Our prayerful desire is that the GROW conference will strengthen local churches as they grow and reach the lost through:

  •  Gathering women from across many QLD churches face to face, under Christ-centred expositional preaching,
  •  Encouraging each woman, from the not-yet believer to the mature believer, to grow up into Christ, trusting in His death and resurrection and joyfully pressing on towards her heavenly   prize in Him,
  • Modelling the living out of eternal doctrines in all relationships, and equipping women to encourage others to grow up into Christ too.

(Col 2:6-7, Phil 3:14, Titus 2:1-5, Eph 4:1-16).

The GROW 2019 day is divided into three sessions (note times may change before the day):

Arrival and Registration – from 8:00am

        Session 1 – 9:00 – 10:45am

        Morning Tea – 10:45 – 11:30am

        Session 2 – 11:30am – 1:00pm

        Lunch – 1:00 – 2:00pm

        Session 3 – 2:00 – 3:30pm

Finish – 3:30pm (bookstall remains open for 30minutes)

In each session we will hear a talk from the Bible (approx 40mins). You will have a booklet (hard copy or PDF) which you are welcome to use to take notes.

In each session we will also respond to God’s Word in song and prayer together. Note that we will pray together as a big group – be assured you will not be asked to pray or answer questions aloud.

There will also be interest spots and interviews from a variety of women throughout the programme for your encouragement.

We want to make sure that you will have a good period of time for morning tea and lunch. These are a great time to rest, chat to others and explore our bookstall.

Grow is committed to strengthening and supporting local churches. If your church leaders have any questions or suggestions as to how we can partner with you more effectively, please email Natalie Newell (Church Liaison) – grow@qcca.org.au
